Nissan releases official photos of the 370Z Coupe E-mail

2009_nissan_370z_carcentral_560.jpg Nissan has released the first official image of the upcoming 2009 370Z Coupe, which is set to make its world debut at next month's Los Angeles Auto Show. The all-new 370Z is the first full redesign of the iconic Nissan Z since the introduction of the previous generation model back in 2003, and will go on sale early next year as a 2009 model in the U.S. It should see Australian release in a similar time frame to take over from the successful 350Z Coupe.

Hyundai launches new Genesis Coupe in Korea E-mail

hyundai_genesis_coupe_carcentral_560.jpg Hyundai launched its new Genesis Coupe in the Korean market at an event on Jeju Island, Korea. The coupe follows on the heels of the the Genesis sports sedan, which was launched in South Korea and the U.S. earlier this year. While the sedan is focused on luxury, the new Genesis Coupe gives Hyundai some added sporting credentials thanks to its performance-focused front-engine rear-wheel-drive architecture.

Porsche reveals updated 911 Targa range E-mail

So far the company has released details for the Carrera and Carrera 4 models, but the updated versions of the Turbo and specialty models like the GT3 RS and GT2 are still waiting in the wings. With the latest announcement, Porsche reveals its most free-spirited 911, the Targa, intended for fun and sun more than serious motorsport.

Mazda RX-8 facelift LuxuryMazda has revealed final pricing and specifications for the face-lifted version of its unique RX-8 sports car, which goes on sale this month and sees the introduction of several new models including a performance oriented GT flagship.

The rest of the range is rounded out by the new Base and Luxury models, with all cars receiving refreshed exterior and interior designs, enhanced performance and updated transmissions.

Subaru and Toyota caught testing sports car prototype E-mail

subaru_toyota_sports_car_spy_shots_carcentral_small.jpgIt was only two months ago that Toyota and Subaru confirmed the joint-development of a new affordable sports car and now we have the first images of a prototype caught testing in a secret UK location. The manufacturers have previously said the new car will be sold by both Toyota and Subaru, although it's likely the Toyota version will be exclusive to the Japanese market while the Subaru model will be a global version. Neither model has yet been confirmed for Australia.
