Mercedes’ next-generation E-class has again been spotted in testing, and these are the most revealing photos of the car yet. What you see here is in fact the high-performance AMG E63, given away by the exposed rear bumper with quad tailpipes and huge perforated brake discs with oversized callipers. Just as it did with the recently revealed SL facelift range, Mercedes’ new AMG version of the E-Class should be launched alongside the regular sedan at next year’s Geneva Motor Show in March. 

BMW’s next-generation Z4 roadster is due to arrive next year, and contrary to numerous reports the new model will grow in both size and price. The new car will bear a similar shape to the current Z4 but will feature a new folding hardtop in lieu of the current fabric roof. These newest photos also give a preview of what the car's interior will look like.

Although news surrounding the coming updates to the luxurious and shapely Range Rover and Range Rover Sport tend to steal the spotlight from their smaller sibling, the Discovery 3, it too is due for an update. Pictures captured by spy photographers show that although the exterior of the Discovery 3 is only getting a small revision, sources reveal the powertrain could be the major focus of the face lifted model.

Prototypes for Land Rover’s facelifted Range Rover Sport have been spotted testing at the Nurburgring less than two months after the test cars were last seen in the UK. The performance SUV already received a series of major upgrades last year, including the introduction of a 3.6L twin turbo diesel V8 overseas, so for its next update the list of changes have been kept to a minimum.

Mercedes-Benz and its performance divisions AMG and HWA are planning to release several new models in the coming years including a high-performance coupe slotted between the outgoing SLR and the upcoming SL Black Series from AMG. The new car will be targeted directly at the upcoming V10 version of the Audi R8 as Mercedes' halo performance car.
