Mazda has released the first tentative details for its new Kazamai
Concept, which will be on display this week at the Moscow Motor Show.
Following in the footsteps of its previous organic concepts including
the Nagare, Ryuga, Hakaze, Taiki and Furai, the Kazamai is modelled
around nature and this time the theme is “crosswinds.”
Already the class leader in its segment, the Mazda6 has been made more
competitive with price cuts across the entire range and the base model
reduced to $27,990 – a saving of $1,750. At the top of the range the
Mazda6 Luxury Sports hatch is now priced at $42,990 when equipped with a five-speed automatic, providing customers with a $3,920
saving.
Mazda has revealed final pricing and specifications for the face-lifted version of its unique RX-8 sports car, which goes on sale this month and sees the introduction of several new models including a performance oriented GT flagship.
The rest of the range is rounded out by the new Base and Luxury models, with all cars receiving refreshed exterior and interior designs, enhanced performance and updated transmissions.
Mazda has committed itself to an ambitious goal of cutting the fuel-consumption of its entire fleet by an average of 30% by 2015 as part of a greater program to introduce a raft of new environmentally-friendly technologies in its vehicles. Mazda plans to achieve the significant improvement in efficiency with a completely renewed powertrain lineup and a new generation of lighter vehicle platforms and fuel-saving technologies.
Mazda
has announced the launch of the stylish three-door Mazda2 hatch for the Aussie
market less than two months after the car made its world debut at the Geneva
Motor Show back in March. The new model goes on sale this month and is priced
from just $15,750, making it the most affordable car in Mazda's range. The 3-door
will be available in two specification levels – Neo and Maxx – each mirroring
the specification of their 5-door siblings.
This month Mazda will expand its top selling Mazda3 lineup with a number of refreshed models under its Sport Range category, which now comprises five models all up including the Neo Sport, Maxx Sport, Diesel, SP23 and MPS variants. The complete Sport Range lineup offers a choice of two body styles, four transmissions and four specification grades, and adds four new colours: Copper Red, Golden Sand, Metropolitan Grey and Stormy Blue.
